The work described below that is in red, may have partial funding, planning or permitting in place and is subject to planning changes.
Youth with a Mission/YWAM Heartland Base, Jinjs Uganda Funds are being raised to purchase land in an unreached People group areas (Karamajong & Ek tribes) in the Kaabong Distrcict of NE Uganda. The land will be used for a new YWAM Base to serve the community in training disciples and young leaders who come to Christ, and also to provide a place for model farming to teach subsistence farming for the people.
SAN JACINTO DE POLONIA PARISH, SAN SALVADOR, EL SALVADOR.
San Jacinto de Polonia Parish is a catholic church situated near to the San Jacinto park in San Salvador city. San Jacinto is a village situated very near the center of San Salvador. Its address is at #609 Ramon Belloso Street near 10th South Avenue.
The church of Parish San Jacinto was built in 1986. It contains a space where Catholic families congregate everyday, but specially for mass on weekends. There are many pastoral activities to evangelized the children, young people, families, adults and to give support to poor. We have a legal office for Human Rights to give legal support to vulnerable families or women. The parish of San Jacinto has many poor communities in its boundaries.
Since 2016 the San Jacinto church has not received any maintenance. For that reason The pastoral council is interested in help with some urgent necessities that we have to resolved with Richers Hope Charities. Projects completed to date:
1. complete painting of the church including the holy sacrament chapel, the parish office, the main church, meeting rooms, sacristy, food chalet and some store rooms.
2. repair the roof of one of the store rooms where images are kept.
4. replacing broken and non working windows for airflow
5. sealing the roof at the entrance and damaged electrical systems
In the spring of 2023 a dental mission was created with a team of dental missionaries performing over 100 visits with people to poor to visit a dentist. The work comprised mostly of cleaning, extractions and education.
In the summer of 2025, a permanent site was identified with approval to operate from the Ladies of Charity. The location is a St Vincent de Paul facility one mile from the San Jacinto church.
Fall and winder 2025 a new missionary dental clinic will be stood up. The current clinic has no x-ray, very worn tools, short on supplies, one chair, equipment needing repair/replacement a second exam bed and doctor and assistant help. The current clinic serves a large population with minimal capabilities 4 hours per day. Plans include adding a second exam bed, all modern equipment and a combination of additional local dentists and missionary dentists.

In fall of 2023, spring of 2024 and summer of 2025 a chapel in the Esmeralda community was rebuilt. The project consisted of:
removing the roof, raising the walls, reinstalling the roof and a variety of other structural corrections
adding two windows and replacing all doors and other windows
replacement of the unsafe basement staircase
installing two bathrooms and sacristy
retiling all of the floors, plastering/paint inside and out of the building
In the spring of 2024, fall of 2024 and spring of 2025 three missionary trips traveled to San Jacinto to help restore a homeless senior citizen center that houses between twelve and 25 residents. The projects consist of:
painting the interior and exterior of the building
replacing the broken washer, drier, refrigerator and freezer
clearing the drainage system and renovating the garden
roof/gutter repairs needed to correct leaks and flooding throughout the facility
providing supplies including plastic mattress liners, walkers, canes, sheets
Installing 6 new high toilets, three sinks and three showers
Winter and spring 2025/2026, the design and building of a new kitchen is planned. The existing kitchen was designed for a family and has long outgrown the needs of the senior center that is planned to house up to 24 very poor local homeless seniors.
In the spring of 2025 missionaries traveled to San Jacinto to work on site preparation for a new chapel in the Buenos Aries community. The work consisted of:
removal of trees and large rocks
leveling the site
building a construction site secure shed and construction site parameter fencing
permitting and installing of electrical and water connections
2026 will be the year of construction of the new chapel.
In 2028 San Jacinto parish will be 75 years old. The parish hopes to rebuild the sanctuary to put the tabernacle at the center among other modern requirements. In addition, after the main church's destruction by the 1986 earthquake the later was never consecrated. The parish plans to have the bishop visit from Guatemala for the consecration.
